How to Create a Quick Encounter in EHR

Step 1: From the main dashboard, click on “Patient Tab”.

Step 2: In the Patients Tab:

  • Search and select the patient’s name.

  • Click on the thunder icon (Quick Encounter).

 

Step 3: Fill in the Quick Encounter details:

  • Encounter Date and Time

  • Select Provider and Service

  • Appointment Day and Time.

Step 4: Send Video Link By SMS/Email - For appointment reminder notification.

Step 5: Click "Save" to complete the encounter.

Where to See the New Encounter

Option 1:

  • Open the patient’s profile from the search or patient list.

  • Go to the “Consults” - “Encounter’ tab to view the newly created quick encounter.

Option 2:

  • Go to your dashboard.

  • Go to the “Consults” - Additional “Select Year and Date’ then See the encounter.

Option 3:

  • Open the dashboard.

  • Go to the “Calendar” - Select “Month and Date” to view the newly created quick encounter.

 

This method ensures that encounters are efficiently documented, making it easy for providers to track interactions.
