Create different status tags of Encounter in DocVilla?
The workflow of any appointment is "Pending" (tag is denoted by Orange color if the patient creates appointment from the patient portal) -> Upcoming (tag is denoted by Green color when the appointment is accepted by the provider or is created by the office admin) -> Closed (tag is denoted by Blue color once the Episode is closed). Any Closed Episodes and Declined Appt (tag is denoted by Red) are moved to Completed. Pending and Upcoming Appts remain Active. Any Canceled Encounters are hidden from the view.
There are other tags that you can give from a Consult. Within an Upcoming encounter, you can also have the following tags (different colors). Patient has checked in, the patient is in the waiting room, the patient is being reviewed by the MD, Ready for Billing, Billed, and No Show. You can also select the Room that the patient has been assigned (we can add more rooms for you if needed).
Once the appointment is completed then you can close the episode.
In DocVilla, there is a concept of Episode and Encounters. An Episode can have multiple Encounters. Once you close the Episode, all the Encounters in the Episode get closed. This is useful if a patient needs more than one session for treatment. Usually, for ambulatory settings, you create a new Episode for each Encounter.
