Understanding Role Based Access
Understanding the roles and responsibilities of each user in DocVilla EHR is crucial for maintaining streamlined operations, ensuring data security, and assigning appropriate access to system features. Below is an overview of the roles and their corresponding access rights:
1. Account Administrator
The Account Administrator holds the highest level of access within the system. Their responsibilities include:
Locking/Unlocking Members: Grant or restrict system access for individual users.
Adding Site Administrators: Manage the assignment of site-level administrators.
Viewing Reports: Access system-wide reports to monitor performance and activity.
Managing Payment Profiles: Update or change Stripe payment profiles for billing purposes.
2. Site Administrator
The Site Administrator oversees operations for a specific site. They have the following responsibilities:
Creating Locations: Establish new locations under their site.
Adding Location Administrators: Assign location-level managers such as Office Managers or Billers.
Viewing Revenue Reports: Access revenue reports specific to the locations under their site to monitor financial performance.
3. Location Administrator
The Location Administrator manages activities within a specific location. Their responsibilities include:
Adding Providers and MAs/Nurses: Assign healthcare staff to the location.
Scheduling Appointments: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for the assigned location.
4. Prescriber
The Prescriber, typically a provider, focuses on direct patient care. Their access is tailored to their clinical role and includes:
Appointment Creation: Can manage appointments specifically for themselves.
Telehealth Consultations: Conduct virtual patient consultations securely through the platform.
Saving SOAP Notes: Document and save structured clinical notes (SOAP - Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) for patient records.
5. Medical Assistants (MAs)/Nurses
The MAs/Nurses assist providers with patient care and administrative tasks as delegated. Their access rights are limited and role-specific, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
By clearly defining roles and responsibilities, DocVilla EHR enables healthcare organizations to manage operations effectively while maintaining a high standard of patient care and data security.
