How to Send Electronic Fax in DocVilla

The electronic fax feature in DocVilla allows you to send and receive faxes directly through the system without manual downloads or uploads. Follow these steps: Once the chart is signed off, the following label will appear.

 

Steps for Using Electronic Fax in DocVilla

Step 1: Log In to Your EHR Dashboard

  • Open the EHR system and log in with your credentials.

 

Step 2: Access the Fax Section

  • Navigate to the Fax section within your EHR system.

Step 3: Receive and Manage Faxes

  • If you receive a fax, it will appear in your inbox with details.

  • Click on the fax to view it.

 

 

Step 4: Associate Fax with Patient or Encounter

  • Select Associate with Patient or Associate with Encounter.

 

 

  • Search for the relevant patient by name or ID.

     

  • You can also associate the fax with a specific chart or record in the patient’s profile.

 

Step 5: Make Fax Visible on Patient Portal (Optional)

  • If required, enable the option to make the fax visible to the patient on the Patient Portal.

  • Save the changes to finalize the association.

Step 6: Send a Fax

  • To send a fax, upload the document, enter the recipient’s fax number, and click Send.

 


Another Way to Send Fax in EMR

Step 1: Log In to Your EHR Dashboard

  • Open your EHR system and log in with your credentials.

Step 2: Go to Consults

  • Navigate to the Consults section in the EHR dashboard.

Step 3: Select Encounter

  • Choose the specific Encounter you wish to send a fax for.

Step 4: Click on Actions

  • In the selected encounter, locate the Actions button at the top-right corner and click on it.

Step 5: Select Print Forms

  • From the dropdown menu under Actions, choose Print Forms to generate the necessary documentation for faxing.

Step 6: Configure the Summary

  • In the Print Forms section:

    • Select the Type of Summary you wish to send.

    • Choose the Sections to include in the summary.

    • Add any Pictures you want to include in the fax summary.

    • Write a Description for additional context or details.

Step 7: Send Fax

  • After configuring the summary, proceed to send the fax directly from the interface.

 

 

 

  • No manual downloads or uploads required.

  • Easy association with patient records and encounters.

  • Visibility on the patient portal for seamless sharing.
