Using the ATOD feature in your EMR, you can accurately document patient information regarding alcohol, tobacco, and other drug usage. This feature supports comprehensive data collection and risk assessment for patient substance use. Here’s how to document ATOD information effectively in your EMR:

Steps to Document ATOD Details in EMR:

Step 1: From the main dashboard, click on “Patient Tab”.

Step 2: In the Patients Tab:

  • Search and select the patient’s name.

Step 3: Select “Consults”.

Step 4: Click on “View”.

Step 5: Select “Diagnosis Info”.

Step 6: Select “ATOD” to document ATOD of the patient.

Step 7: Select the options from Tobacco Usage (Eg: Non-smoker, Cigar Smoker).

  • You can also put additional information about the patient regarding the Tobacco Usage in the Additional Info box.

Step 8: Select the options from Alcohol Consumption.

  • You can also put additional information about the patient regarding the Alcohol Consumption in the Additional Info box.

Step 9: Select the options from Drug Usage.

  • You can also put additional information about the patient regarding the Drug Usage in the Additional Info box.

Step 10: Click "Save" to save the ATOD details of the patient in your EMR.

These steps ensure that the ATOD details of the patient have been recorded correctly in the EHR.
