Saving SOAP Notes : Role-Based Access Instructions

This guide explains how to properly save SOAP notes in the system depending on your assigned role. It is crucial to follow these steps to avoid accidental data loss.

Important Guidelines:

Use the Prescriber Role:
Please ensure that you are working under the "Prescriber Role" when entering and saving SOAP notes.
- The "Save" button is only available in this role.

If you are logged in as a Location Administrator, you will not be able to save SOAP notes.

The Save button is NOT available in Location Admin role.

If you type any notes by mistake while in the Location Admin role, please make sure to copy and paste them into a notepad or Word file before switching roles. Once the role is changed, the data will be lost, as it is not saved on our servers.

Post-Signoff Note Editing:
After you sign off on a chart, the "Save" button will no longer be available, regardless of your role. Make sure all necessary edits are completed before signing off. You will have to un-sign the chart to get the Save button.

Best Practices:

Always verify your active role before starting documentation.
Save work frequently while in the Prescriber role.
