How to delete a patient encounter?
Note: Once an encounter has been signed off or any transaction has taken place, it cannot be deleted due to audit and compliance requirements.
However, if no action has been taken—such as in cases where a patient scheduled and then cancelled the encounter—you can delete it. Encounters can be deleted either from the patient profile or from within the encounter itself.
Deleting or Canceling an encounter is a permanent action and cannot be reversed.
From Patient Profile
Step 1: Go to the Patient tab> select the patients
Step 2: Go to the Consults> Select the encounter which you want to delete> Click on Delete Selected Encounters
Step 3: Click on OK to delete the encounter.
From Patient Encounter
Step 1: Go the Consult select the encounter which you want to delete
Step 2: Go to the Action > Click on Cancel Encounter
Step 3: Confirm OK to remove from the list.
